"Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe" Cargo Railway Has Brought Tremendous Opportunities to Spain
At the noon on June 18th, the former Prime Minister of Spain Jose Luis Zapatero, who attended "Silk Road Economic Belt Cities International Forum 2015" in Yiwu, accepted the interview given by the reporter, and had a talk about the meaning of "Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe" cargo railway and the communication between Yiwu and Spain in economy, culture, and tourism.
In Jose Luis Zapatero's opinions, "Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe" cargo railway has brought tremendous opportunities to Europe, Asia, and Spain, and normal running of the two-way "Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe" cargo railway contributes to promote a more balanced trade between China and Spain.
He said frankly that there are trade imbalances between China and Spain. "As a matter of fact, Chinese products are not only popular in Spain, but also in the world. Now Spanish quality products have been continuously carried to China on "Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe" cargo trains, and this will relive the imbalances." Up till now, there have been four trains travelling to Europe and two travelling back, and Jose Luis Zapatero hoped that the hosting of "Silk Road Economic Belt Cities International Forum" is able to further push and propagate the strategy of "One Belt One Road" and "Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe" cargo railway.
