Yiwu Won Two Awards at the 7th Paris Chinese Opera Festival

The 7^th Paris Chinese Opera Festival closed in Paris, and the Wuju Opera Protection and Inheritance Center of Yiwu won two awards relying on two wonderful performances of Wuju Opera. Both plays of the Center -- Lv Bu and Diao Chan and The Monkey King -- won the Best Traditional Opera Award, and Lou Qiaozhu, actress of the Center and acting Lv Bu, won the Best Male Character Award. After the 5-day festival, the Wuju Opera Protection and Inheritance Center of Yiwu returned, loaded with honors, as the only performing unit winning two awards at the festival this year.

It is learned that the Paris Chinese Opera Festival is hosted by the Chinese Culture Center in Paris every two years. Since 2003 till now, it has successively invited more than 20 types of Chinese operas and a total of 30 troupes from China to perform in Paris and gradually become another famous brand of Chinese Culture Center in Paris.
