Over 35 Economic and Trading Exhibitions Planned to be Held in Yiwu This Year
Apart from exhibitions led by the government, such as China Yiwu International Commodities Fair and Tourism Commodities Fair, Yiwu is currently focus on cultivating multiple private exhibitions respectively of textile and knitting, frame industry, household articles, and automobile accessories, which mutually supplement and develop together with the government-led exhibitions. Just last year alone, Yiwu had supported seven professional exhibitions of emerging industries like the China (Yiwu) Logistics Industry Expo 2016, Win-win Household Articles Industry Exhibition, and so on and continuously expanded the exhibition economy and drove industrial transformation by enhancing policy support to exhibitions, implementing the "bringing-in" and "going-out" strategy, and achieving overall development and resource complementarity.
It was learned that the goal of Yiwu this year for exhibition industry was to hold more than 130 various exhibitions, including over 35 economic and trading ones and covering an exhibition area larger than 900 thousand m2, with more than 18 exhibitions covering an area larger than 10 thousand m2 each, in order to make exhibition industry the "booster" and new growth point of Yiwu's economic and social development.
