"One Belt, One Road" Made Great Achievements -- Yiwu Appeared in Daily Telegraph of the UK

On Mar. 13, the mainstream newspaper Daily Telegraph of the UK, which had a history of one hundred years, published a signed article titled Britain Is Helping Us Build a New Silk Road of Liu Xiaoming, Chinese ambassador to the UK, both in its paper and web editions.

It was mentioned in the article that for more than 2,000 years, the Silk Road had played an important role in promoting the trades and cultural exchange between the East and West and also become a source of inspiration for people today who seek new opportunities for common development. Since the proposal of "One Belt, One Road" Initiative by President Xi Jinping in 2013, great achievements had been made in succession. In Jan., 2017, the first Sino-Europe international freight train from China's eastern town of Yiwu arrived in London, extending the "One Belt, One Road" to the far western end of Europe.
