First Special Weekly Ocean-rail Transportation Train of Maersk Line Departed from Yiwu Port

On the morning of Sept. 19, the first special weekly ocean-rail transportation train of Maersk Line at Yiwu Port departed from West Yiwu Railway Station for Ningbo Zhoushan Port.

The opening of the special weekly ocean-rail transportation train of Maersk Line at Yiwu Port was one of the significant milestones of Maersk's business development in China. Fang Xuegang mentioned in his address that the special weekly ocean-rail transportation train, as a good supplement to railway transportation, provided Yiwu merchants with a transportation channel free from the affect of weather and external conditions, realized the signing and issuance of ocean B/L at Yiwu Port and seamless logistics service, further shortened the international trade delivery time and saved logistics cost, and really realized the departure port function of Yiwu Port.
