Direct Customs Clearance Mode Innovated by Yiwu and Dubai
Direct customs clearance mode will be adopted between Yiwu and Dubai. In future, for commodities exported from Yiwu market to Dubai, customs clearance procedures can be handled in advance in Yiwu, which will greatly save time for merchants.
One highlight of the Yiwu-Dubai Through Warehouse Project is the Yiwu-Dubai direct customs clearance mode firstly implemented at Yiwu Port. According to the agreement, Zhejiang Seaport Group will take responsibility for providing the warehousing resources of Yiwu, whereas DP WORLD will be responsible for introducing the customs clearance service of Dubai Customs into Yiwu Port, so that customs clearance on the side of Dubai can be finished for containers at Yiwu Port and whole-process logistics services, including transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, booking, and agency, can be provided for customers. By report, existing warehouses at Yiwu Port will be leased in the early stage of the project, and new warehouses will be built based on operation conditions later to further expand business scale.
