Alibaba Foreign Trainees Visited Yiwu for Learning and Exchange
The second batch of 24 trainees from Alibaba Global Leadership Academy visited Yiwu for exchanges related to e-commerce entrepreneurship. Yiwu Industrial and Commercial College received them and introduced the development status of Yiwu e-commerce and the conditions of the college's entrepreneurial education in detail.
Alibaba Global Leadership Academy was initiated by Jack Ma, Board Chairman of Alibaba Group, in May last year, with an aim to enhance global talent reserve and cultivate leaders for the international business of Alibaba in the next ten years. The threshold requirements for the trainees are extremely high; besides educational background of world top universities, such as Harvard, Yale, Oxford, and Cambridge, the trainees must have at least three years of outstanding working experience. They will go through job rotation, course training, and project practice for one year in the Alibaba headquarters in Hangzhou and become the international business backbones and culture ambassadors of Alibaba Group after graduation.
